Dependable moisture removal, engineered for the real world. ZEKS refrigerated dryers deliver stable 38–50°F pressure dew points with energy‑smart designs that are easy to service and built for reliability. Select platforms feature patented, high‑efficiency heat exchangers to reduce energy consumption without compromising performance.

Heatsink – Energy-Saving Cycling Dryers

Due to seasonal variations or shift usage, most compressed air systems operate with varying flow profiles. ZEKS HeatSink™ refrigerated dryers are designed to address the realities of compressed air usage, consuming only the electrical energy necessary to meet the actual demand for dry compressed air.

Non-Cycling Dryers

Where compressed air usage is consistent, the combination of low pressure drop and compressed air-specific components make ZEKS Non-Cycling dryers an efficient and economical air drying solution.

Special Application Dryers

ZEKS offers compressed air dryers engineered specifically for high temperature and high pressure applications. Our CDA Series is unique in its use of available on-site cooling energy for compressed air drying.

How Refrigerated Air Dryers Work

  1. Warm, moisture‑laden air enters the dryer
  2. An air‑to‑air heat exchanger reduces the compressed air temperature and condenses moisture
  3. The air travels to a heat exchanger, where it is cooled to ~35–38°F, further condensing moisture out of the airstream.
  4. An integral separator removes the condensed liquid from the air stream
  5. Condensed moisture is discharged from the dryer via an automatic drain
  6. The air is reheated slightly before exiting to prevent downstream sweating

The result is clean, dry compressed air delivered to the compressed air network.

Cycling vs. Non Cycling Refrigerated Dryers

Non‑Cycling

  • Refrigeration system runs continuously
  • Hot gas bypass prevents evaporator freeze‑up
  • Simple, rugged, reliable—ideal for steady loads

Cycling

  • Adjusts cooling output based on demand
  • Compressor cycles/modulates to cut energy at partial loads
  • Great fit for variable‑demand systems and energy reduction goals

ZEKS difference: Service‑oriented component layouts shorten maintenance time; select models integrate patented heat exchangers for high efficiency operation.

Where Refrigerated Dryers Excel

  • General manufacturing and machining
  • Automotive assembly, robotics, material handling
  • Packaging lines and warehouses
  • Indoor environments without freezing risk

Get reliable moisture control without the higher energy burden of ultra‑low pressure dew point systems.

Why Choose ZEKS Refrigerated Dryers

  • Reliability: Industrial‑grade components and proven controls
  • Energy Efficiency: Patented heat exchangers on select models
  • Serviceability: Service-oriented design for easy maintenance.
  • Support: Comprehensive warranties and responsive expert assistance

Refrigerated Air Dryer FAQs

A refrigerated dryer cools compressed air to approximately 35–38°F, causing water vapor to condense into liquid, which is then separated and drained from the system.
